Spacer Type Silane
Shin-Etsu Silicones of America, Inc. has introduced its 8-Carbon Silane Coupling Agents. The KBM-1083 (olefinic functional) and KBM-4803 (epoxy functional) lines have eight carbons, engineered to create more space between the reactive ends of the silanes. Benefits include increased reactivity due to easier access to the reactive group, improved adhesion, enhanced flexibility of the cured resin, higher filler content enabled, greater alkali resistance, and more compatibility with plastics. Clariant has expanded its EnviCat series of catalysts to include a high-performance solution for selective catalytic reduction (SCR) to combat nitrogen oxides (NOx). The catalyst, an extruded honeycomb structured block made from a vanadium-based composite, is designed to facilitate NOx reduction reactions in an oxidizing atmosphere. EnviCat NOx SCR can lower NOx emissions from gas fired exhaust streams and is well suited to a multitude of chemical and industrial applications. Additional details are available at www.clariant.com.
