George Baugh Heckel Award
ACA’s highest honor, the George Baugh Heckel award is named for an early industry pioneer who devoted much of his life to promoting the interests of the coatings industry.
Industry Statesman Award
ACA bestows the Industry Statesman Award to individuals at or near retirement, in recognition and appreciation of their long and devoted service to the paint and coatings industry.
Mattiello Lecture Award
The Mattiello Lecture Award recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to science, technology, and/or engineering related to the coatings industry. Joseph J. Mattiello, whose memory is commemorated by this award, did much to expand the application of science in the decorative and protective coatings field. Mattiello Lecture Award recipients deliver a technical presentation at an ACA conference focused on a phase of chemistry, engineering, human relationship, or other discipline fundamental to paint, coatings, varnish, lacquer, or related protective and decorative coatings.
