January 30 | ACA Member Webinar: Biocide Preservatives in Coatings — Registration Reviews in U.S. and Canada and implications for the Coatings Industry
This free webinar will address the regulatory framework of biocides used in coatings in the United States and Canada. Biocides, known as pesticides in the United States, are used to preserve coatings from microorganisms and bacteria, while also sometimes used to protect a substrate after application. Regulatory authorities are reevaluating risks associated with biocides in paint, both during paint application and during paint formulation, as part routine registration reviews, while noting concerns that could result in severe restriction of biocides in coatings. The webinar will also cover recent review activity of certain biocides and possible regulatory outcomes from U.S. and Canadian authorities.

February 20 | ACA Member Webinar: Domestic and International HazMat Transportation Regulatory Update
This free webinar will address recent domestic and international developments in hazardous materials transportation regulation. The webinar will provide an overview of key rulemakings issued by the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA), as well as highlight new and important efforts undertaken by the United Nation’s Subcommittee of Experts for the Transport of Dangerous Goods (UN SCE TDG) to improve the UN Model Recommendations for TDG and ensure efficiency for international shipments of hazmat.
