October 12 | ACA Member Webinar: Fundamentals of Paint Radiative Properties – What they are, Why they Matter, and How they are Evaluated

This free webinar will provide insight into surface radiative properties, how they are measured, and why they matter. The webinar will also address how to obtain third-party ratings from the Cool Roof Rating Council (CRRC), which are referenced by end-users for compliance with building codes, standards, and green building programs (e.g., LEED), and talking about CRRC ratings with customers.

October 19 | ACA Member Webinar: TSCA CBI Essentials for Coating Ingredients in a Post-Lautenberg World
One of the notable changes to the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) brought on by the 2016 Lautenberg Amendments is EPA’s expansive new role in deciding to what extent the public has the right to know about chemicals before and after they enter commerce. As a result, identifying and protecting company Confidential Business Information (CBI) is now a central part of complying with the law. CBI claims, as a general rule, need to be asserted and substantiated at time of filing. EPA published a final CBI procedural rule in late June, which became effective August 7, 2023. Already, some groups already have filed legal challenges to the rule in the D.C. Circuit Court.
This free webinar will address best practices, how the rules affect all TSCA filings including section 4, 5, 6, 8 and 12(b) reports, the need to solely use the CDX system for substantiation filings, and questions about the use of OECD templates. In addition, the webinar will cover how a company can relinquish the CBI claims of others, when companies may have a chance to amend filings to address overbroad CBI claims likely to be denied, and the potential impact of the pending litigation for industry.
The webinar will be led by Martha Marrapese, Partner with Wiley LLP and Scott Sherlock, Consulting Counsel with Wiley LLP.
