Sun Chemical Advanced Materials and parent company, DIC Corporation, have opened a new European Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS) Technical Center in Karlstein, Germany. According to the company, the new laboratory will enable the DIC Group to provide more localized technical support to European and American customers of its polyphenylene sulfide compounds (DIC.PPS).

The €2.7 million investment is an extension of Sun Chemical’s Eurolab and is intended to strengthen the DIC Group’s global supply and technical service network for DIC.PPS compounds. The company expects the center to provide additional capability for responding to the growing European and American PPS markets.

“This new European Technical Center will support these developing markets and more promptly serve our global customers,” said Mehran Yazdani, president of Sun Chemical Advanced Materials. “Furthermore, its location near Frankfurt, Europe’s largest transportation hub, makes it ideally placed to enable us to quickly access and serve our European customers,” he added
