Hawk Research Laboratories, LLC, a manufacturer of high-performance specialty coating systems for the surface repair and resurfacing industries, acquired Bonstone Materials, effective March 17.
Bonstone manufactures products in the stone industry for laminating, seaming, rodding, repairing/patching, bonding, sealing, crack repair and anchoring. Hawk says that Bonstone’s commitment to service, support, technical expertise, and product quality align well with its business values, which they say makes the Bonstone business a key addition to its line of surface repair solutions and market expansion plans.
Mike Beckmann, Bonstone’s long-time owner and CEO, will be retiring, but he will act as a consultant to Hawk during the transition. Sales Manager Paul Klees and the remainder of the Bonstone staff will remain in place and continue to operate business as usual, using Bonstone’s existing manufacturing facilities to support and grow its customers.
