Washington SB 5369 Passed, Limited to Request for US EPA Re-Assessment of PCB Standards

In a significant victory for the paint industry, last week, the Washington legislature passed a bill requiring the state Department of Ecology (DOE) to petition the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to reevaluate standards for polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs).
