UV-Resistant Epoxy Systems for Industrial Protective Coating Applications

Two-component epoxy coatings have long been used for industrial protective applications due to their excellent adhesion to a wide range of substrates, superior chemical resistance, and various mechanical properties. However, one major drawback of epoxy based coatings is their poor UV resistance; polyurethane or acrylic-based coatings are often used as a topcoat over epoxy coatings to produce good UV-resistant properties.
