LANXESS Expands Distribution Partnerships

LANXESS Corporation’s Material Protection Products business unit has expanded distribution partnerships with Lintech International, Omya Specialty Minerals, and DKSH for industrial preservatives in North America. The agreements enlarge the distributors’ portfolios into the Coatings, Adhesives, Sealants and Elastomer (CASE), and other building materials markets, following LANXESS’ acquisition of IFF’s microbial control business in July, 2022. BASF Coatings Partners with INEOS Automotive

INEOS Automotive and BASF’s Coatings division have signed an agreement for  global automotive refinish body and paint development. The companies report that they will commit to a long-term collaboration that enables them to exceed the industry standard in vehicle body repair and paint refinish. Vattenfall and Evonik Partner for Green Electricity

Energy supplier Vattenfall and specialty chemicals company Evonik have concluded new long-term electricity supply contracts. As of 2025, two Vattenfall solar parks in Schleswig-Holstein will supply Evonik with around 120 gigawatt hours of solar power per year for chemical production. KANSAI HELIOS has signed a share purchase agreement with GREBE Holding in Weilburg, Germany to acquire WEILBURGER Coatings. WEILBURGER Coatings is an industrial coatings producer and has group companies in Germany, Italy, France, Turkey, China, Brazil, India and the United States. According to KANSAI HELIOS, this consolidation will further strengthen KANSAI HELIOS’ market position in industrial coatings segments and expand its geographical footprint internationally. Evonik Expands Production of Precipitated Silica

Silica producer Evonik is investing in a plant expansion for precipitated silica at its Charleston, S.C. site. According to the company, the new line will increase the company’s production capacity for precipitated silica at the site by 50 percent. The Charleston facility is part of a network of 18 precipitated silica production sites globally. Read More…
