Wacker Chemie AG opened its new corporate headquarters in Munich. The roughly 18,000-square-meter building in Munich’s Werksviertel District was designed by Danish architecture firm C.F. Møller reportedly using the latest in sustainable building technology. The office offers a flexible working environment for approximately 600 employees on five floors. Trinseo completed a solar panel installation of 1,800 solar panel modules at its latex binders manufacturing facility in Hamina, Finland. Working with Finnish electricity supplier Helen Oy, the new solar panels are expected to offset approximately 20% of the site’s power consumption. Trinseo says that the initiative supports the company’s climate change goal to increase its share of electricity from non-fossil sources from 5% to 30% by 2030. Read More…
