Axalta Coating Systems announced the appointment of Tim Bowes as president of Global Industrial Coatings. He will succeed Shelley Bausch, who will be stepping down from her role.

Most recently, Bowes served as Axalta’s senior vice president and chief transformation officer. Before joining Axalta, he held positions at Meritor, American Axle & Manufacturing, and Transtar Industries.

According to the company, Bowes brings extensive experience in managing industrial businesses across multiple industries and regions. Over the past two years, he has played a key role in Axalta’s transformation, driving significant advancements in strategy and operational excellence.

Barentz, the global life science ingredient distributor, announced the transition of James Tyrakoski from director, Floor Care Coatings to vice president, Floor Care Coatings.

According to the company, Tyrakoski has brought a unique, solutions-focused approach to product innovation and market support. His deep understanding of floor care market trends and product development continues to drive growth and success at Barentz, as well as with its customers and principal partners.

Covestro announced that Yun Chen will assume leadership of European production for the company’s Performance Materials (PM) Business Entity.

Most recently, Chen served as head of Performance Materials Operations APAC. With nearly 30 years of experience at Covestro and Bayer, he has held numerous leadership positions.

Chen studied Chemical Engineering in Beijing and Shanghai and earned a Ph.D. from the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Technical University of Darmstadt.

Carboline has appointed Priscila Nobre as its vice president of supply chain. In this new role, she will oversee Sales Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP), Service Centers, Customer Service, and Transportation.

Before joining Carboline, Nobre held leadership roles at Corning Life Sciences, TE Connectivity, Cummins, and World Wide Technology.

“It was clear from day one how much pride my colleagues take in being part of Carboline. They care about who we are and the work we do,” Nobre said. “That’s why I’m energized to join this company as it embraces positive change.”

Carboline also announced strategic changes to its North America sales leadership.

Tim Holmes has been promoted to vice president of sales, overseeing the West, Central, Northeast, and Southeast regional sales teams. He previously served as sales director for the Southeast region since 2022 and was a technical sales representative from 2008 to 2022.

Jim Gregg has been named the company’s first director of business development. Since late 2023, he has focused on advanced facilities construction. In his new role, he will lead Carboline’s expanding Business Development and National Accounts teams to align with evolving markets and contract chains.

The Supervisory Board of Brenntag SE appointed Thomas Reisten to the company’s Board of Management, effective April 1, 2025. He will assume the role of CFO, overseeing accounting, controlling, investor relations, legal, shared services, tax, treasury, and insurance. Reisten succeeds Kristin Neumann, whose  contract  ends on March 31, 2025.

Most recently, Reisten served as CFO and a member of the Management Board at Vantage Towers AG. He has held various leadership roles in finance and has worked in the United Kingdom, Ireland, Romania, Germany, India, and Japan. He holds a degree in business administration from the University of Münster, Germany.

RPM International Inc. has appointed Craig S. Morford, Christopher L. Mapes, and Julie A. Beck to its board of directors. According to the company, these appointments reflect RPM’s commitment to expanding the board’s expertise, diversity, and leadership capabilities as it drives long-term growth and shareholder value.

Morford rejoins RPM’s board after previously serving as a member from 2013 to 2019. He recently retired as general counsel and corporate secretary at ExxonMobil Corporation, where he led high-impact legal and compliance functions, including litigation, mergers and acquisitions, and environmental and regulatory affairs.

Mapes most recently served as executive chair of Lincoln Electric, a role he held from January to December 2024 before retiring. Previously, he was chairman, president, and CEO, where he drove record performance and positioned the company as an industry leader in automation and manufacturing innovation.

Beck is senior vice president and chief financial officer of Terex Corporation, a role she’s held since January 2022. She will depart Terex on April 1, 2025, and begin her term on RPM’s board on April 7, 2025. Before Terex, she held executive positions at NOVA Chemicals, Joy Global, and Temple-Inland and served on the board of Invacare Corporation.
