In 2017, HORN generated revenue of USD 276 million, a normalized EBITDA of USD 12 million and has approximately 200 employees.
BTP’s employees will transition immediately to Ascend. Andrew Leigh, BTP founder, will join Ascend’s global management team as director of compounding technology.

The company is building in the capability for the plant to run with a higher capacity, which allows for increased production volumes in the future.
The company specifically plans capacity expansions at Map Ta Phut, Thailand; Guangzhou, China; South Deerfield, United States; and Dormagen, Germany. The total investment of more than 100 million euros also includes the expansion of the associated infrastructure and logistics.
