Lubrizol has opened its Southeast Asia Innovation Center in Jurong, Singapore. According to the company, the center, designed to strengthen collaboration and drive market-relevant innovation, supports Lubrizol’s commitment to delivering high-value solutions and helping customers in Southeast Asia and beyond to bring products to market faster.
Covering 160,000 square feet over multiple floors, the facility features advanced labs, interactive experience zones, and dedicated spaces for technical training and knowledge sharing.
“This new Innovation Center represents a significant commitment to our innovation locally,” said Henry Liu, vice president, Lubrizol Asia Pacific. “By bringing together expertise across Lubrizol and our partners, this collaborative facility will enable acceleration of technologies that meet the region’s evolving needs, turning shared innovation into breakthrough solutions that solve real-world challenges.”
As part of the launch, Lubrizol has signed two Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs): one with United Oil Company—a joint venture with oil major Repsol that produces lubricants and specialty fluids for the automotive, industrial, and marine sectors—and one with the Singapore Economic Development Board (EDB). The MOU with United Oil focuses on exploring joint innovation opportunities and expanding market reach through collaborative product development. According to Lubrizol, the agreement with the EDB reflects a shared commitment to drive innovation and explore future investment opportunities over the next five years.
