ACA Webinar: SCAQMD Exclusion Pathway (Members Only)

August 7 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This webinar will provide an overview of the draft South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Exclusion Pathway. SCAQMD utilizes Method 313 with a methyl palmitate endpoint that is capable of accurately and reproducibly determining the volatile organic content (VOC) content of low-VOC products. The air districted has drafted a procedure for identifying compounds (i.e., Pentaethylene Glycol) with a Method 313 elution time prior to that of methyl palmitate that might not be volatilizing into the air during test conditions.

ACA Webinar: Exempt Compounds Update (Member Only)

September 11 @ 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

This webinar will address exempt volatile organic compounds (VOCs) that are used in coatings. U.S. EPA has exempted many VOCs it has determined have negligible photochemical reactivity and therefore do not contribute to the formation of ground-level ozone. The benefit of exempt compounds is that they do not have to be counted towards the VOC content of a coatings product. The webinar will provide a status update on exempt VOCs used in coatings, address possible alternatives, and address the status…
