CPSC Seeks Comments on Petition for Adoption of Slip Resistance Standards

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) is seeking comments on a petition for rulemaking that would adopt current slip resistance standards into regulations. If adopted, the standard would mandate testing and labeling regarding the slip resistance (traction) of commercial and residential grade floor coverings, floor coatings and treatments, residential and commercial floor cleaning agents, and consumer footwear. Birla Carbon Announces New Expansions

Birla Carbon has established two new carbon black manufacturing sites in Naidupet, Andhra Pradesh, India, and Rayong, Thailand. According to the company, each of the new facilities will have an initial capacity of 120 kMT operational in 2025 with plans to expand to 240 kMT in the future. Solvay Expands Hydrogen Peroxide Capacity in China

Solvay is expanding the production capacity of hydrogen peroxide at its Shandong Huatai Interox Chemical site in China.
