BYK Additives Plans Laboratory and Seminar Complex in Wesel

BYK has announced it is constructing a laboratory building at its site in Wesel, Germany. Estimated at €25 million, the aim of the project, according to the company, is to generate new innovations together with customers and for customers in end-use labs. Arkema Obtains ISCC+ Certification in France

Arkema received ISCC+ certification for its Villers-Saint-Paul site, France. The company says the site is the first UV-LED-EB curable resins manufacturing site in Europe to receive this certification and its Mass Balance approach allows it to offer a new range of Sartomer® bio-attributed solutions, reinforcing the already existing bio-segregated range containing up to 85% biobased content. Nouryon Begins Full-Scale Production at New Plant

Nouryon announced it has started full-scale production at its new Expancel® expandable microspheres plant in Green Bay, Wisc. The new plant will serve specialty additives customers in North America in the packaging, construction, mining and automotive industries, as well as complement the company’s existing full-scale plant in Sundsvall, Sweden, and product expansion facilities in China and Brazil. Dow and Evonik Announce Pilot Plant in Germany

Dow and Evonik have announced the start-up and operation of a hydrogen peroxide to propylene glycol pilot plant at Evonik’s site in Hanau, Germany. Collaboratively developed by Dow-- — a producer of propylene glycol —and hydrogen peroxide manufacturer Evonik, the plant uses the HYPROSYN® method to enable the direct synthesis of propylene glycol from hydrogen peroxide and propylene.
