PHMSA Issues Notice of Proposed Rulemaking HM 219D

On March 1, the U.S. Department of Transportation’s Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration (PHMSA) issued a notice of proposed rulemaking to adopt miscellaneous petitions and update certain regulatory requirements. OSHA Revises Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program

Last month, the U.S. Department of Labor’s Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued a revised Combustible Dust National Emphasis Program. The purpose of the revised emphasis program is to continue OSHA inspections of facilities that generate or handle combustible dusts likely to cause fire, flash fire, deflagration and explosion hazards.
