Union Coating & Chemical Industries, in partnership with the Barren County Economic Authority and Kentucky’s Gov. Andy Beshear, announced plans for a new U.S. manufacturing facility in Glasgow, Ky. Union is a global producer of advanced powder coating solutions headquartered in Egypt. The company will invest $11.9 million in the first phase of the project, with total investment expected to reach $20 million. The plant will initially produce powder coating compounds, with future expansion into additional product lines as demand grows.
