ACA is pleased to announce the recent publication of a special issue of Journal of Coatings Technology and Research. Released in November (Vol. 16, No. 6, 2019), this issue will be available for free download for a limited time. In addition to a range of papers offered on general topics of importance to coatings researchers, the issue contains influential articles from the 2018 European Coatings Congress (ETCC 2018) and papers that were presented at the 2018 International Coatings Science and Technology Symposium (ISCST).
ETCC 2018, held June 26–29 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, was a unique program. For the first time, this congress was co-organized by three leading technical organizations—FATIPEC, OCCA, and CoSI. Presenters addressed the latest developments in paint, coatings raw materials, and the most recent progress in coatings science. Nine of these leading papers are highlighted in JCTR.
Also featured in the issue are papers which from the 19th ISCST symposium, which was held in September 2018 in Long Beach, CA. This symposium provided a forum for scientists and engineers from around the world to present and discuss recent developments and discoveries in the application and solidification of thin liquid films. The symposium featured contributions from experts in both academia and industry on topics ranging from fundamental processing science to more applied research and development. Of those papers, 10 were selected for publication in the November issue.
Through the middle of December, these papers—and all of those featured in the November issue—will be available to those who visit the JCTR website at https://link.springer.com/journal/11998. ACA members and subscribers have access to these and all papers published in JCTR through paint.org.
