Pidilite Industries Resins

Pidilite Industries, a Mumbai-based provider of specialty resins, organic pigments, and additives, plans to highlight their industrial resins and more at ECS.

Among these industrial resins offerings are coatings applications for road marking and decorative paints. For road marking paints, the company has product lines for binders and dispersing agents, and additives (dispersants and thickeners) and binders are available through Pidilite for decorative paint. Pidilite has thickeners for acrylics, HASE, and polyurethane.

Pidilite Industries, which has R&D and manufacturing facilities worldwide, will be at Booth 737 in Hall 3C.

Ralston Colour and Coatings Color-Matching Tool

Dutch company Ralston Colour and Coatings will be at ECS to showcase Tintingale, a color-matching tool, and will offer a virtual reality (VR) introduction to this product.

This offering is designed to help color-match base paints without the need to send samples for research. Instead, Tintingale uses a three-step system: first, attend a two-day training session at Ralston’s laboratories in the Netherlands to learn the process; next, collect data for the system by testing any base paint to find out which reference color recipe database best fits the base paints involved; and finally, install the color-matching software on the dispenser machine that will be used, calibrate, and fill the machine with UNI Plus colorants.

Ralston will be at Booth 123 in Hall 3C to talk about and facilitate the VR introduction of this product.

Solvay Additives and Surfactants

Solvay will attend ECS to talk about their Rhodoline® and Reactsurf® technologies, as well as several other products.

Rhodoline® WA-2830E is a multifunctional performance additive for both interior and exterior waterborne coatings designed for water, scrub, and block resistance. In addition, the company says that this new additive offers improved color acceptance and can reduce TiO2 without affecting opacity.

Reactsurf® 2490 is a polymerizable surfactant designed as a primary emulsifier for acrylic, vinyl-acrylic, and styrene-acrylic latex systems. This product was created to have dirt pick-up resistance in exterior coatings and water whitening resistance in pressure-sensitive adhesives.

Other Solvay products at ECS include Sipomer® PAM 600, a monomer with anti-corrosion properties and adhesive capabilities; Blanc Fixe, an extender designed to enhance anti-corrosion properties; oxygenated solvents like Augeo® SL 191; and the Addibond™ product line of polymeric additives designed to enhance adhesion.

The Brussels-based company Solvay will be at Stand 1-420 in Hall 1 at ECS as well as three technical sessions.

X-Rite Spectrophotometers

X-Rite, a partner of Pantone that specializes in color products and services, will make an appearance at ECS to discuss their spectrophotometers and more.

The company, which is based in Grand Rapids, MI, plans to feature the Rite Ci7000 Series, MA-T12, and MetaVue VS3200 spectrophotometers; PANTORA™ software that enables the rendering of paint and coating colors onto a 3D model by using spectral and imaging data; and the Color iMatch tool.

To learn more, visit X-Rite at Stand 566 in Hall 4.

hubergroup Chemicals Radiation Curing Oligomers, Monomers

Germany-based hubergroup Chemicals, a division of hubergroup, will be at ECS to show its portfolio of resins, colorants, lamination adhesives, and monomers for the first time.

Of particular focus at ECS are the company’s raw materials such as radiation curing oligomers and monomers for industrial coatings, mainly for the wood and furniture sector, but also for polymer/LVT flooring. hubergroup Chemicals also plans to feature its conventional drying resins based on rosin, ketone, and polyurethane; additives; lamination adhesives (2K PU systems); and overprint varnishes such as resins, additives, and colorants.
