BASF has started a new production line dedicated to dispersions for architectural coatings and construction materials at its facility in Dilovası, Türkiye. The expansion has significantly increased production capacity, allowing BASF to meet the rising demand for dispersions in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa.
The new production line enables BASF to provide low-VOC (volatile organic compound) dispersions, which improve indoor air quality. BASF says the site, located near Istanbul, has also implemented the Mass Balance approach, enabling the production of dispersions with a reduced carbon footprint. The entire facility will operate on green electricity, further demonstrating BASF’s commitment to helping its customers achieve the green transformation.
“With the start up of the new production line in Dilovası, we are well positioned to meet our customers’ growing demand for innovative dispersions in Türkiye, the Middle East, and Northwest Africa. This expansion is a valuable addition to our regional production network, strengthening our resilience and capability to supply high-quality dispersions to all our customers,” said Jörg Niebergall, senior vice president of Dispersions Europe at BASF SE. “Our ability to deliver strongly CO2-reduced products from our site in Dilovası clearly shows our ambition to be the preferred chemical company to enable our customers’ green transformation.”
