Lamberti has acquired Covestro’s facility in East Providence, Rhode Island, marking a strategic expansion of its U.S. operations. The site will specialize in producing polyurethane dispersions (PUDs), including matte and ultra-matte polymers for CASE applications, industrial coatings, digital printing, and more.
“This acquisition strengthens our position in PUD technology and establishes a local production hub in the U.S.,” said Patrick Balletto, COO of Lamberti. “It brings us closer to customers, enhances supply chain resilience, and enables a more responsive approach to the Surface Treatment market.”
The deal includes the site’s real estate, equipment, and product lines, and preserves all existing jobs.

Lamberti will continue serving the facility’s current customers and ensure a smooth transition.
