Silicone Hull Paint Recharger for the Yacht Market

Hempel A/S has introduced Hempel’s Infinity, an underwater performance recharger, exclusively for Hempel’s silicone systems for yachts. The recharger extends the silicone performance of the hull coating for an extra season, removing the need for repainting, resulting in less work, lower overall costs and less paint used.

According to the company, the application method requires no sanding, masking or painting. The underwater area needs to be clean and dry before Hempel’s Infinity is applied to the whole underwater surface. The recharger is rinsed off after a minimum of 24 hours’ activation, half of the time it takes to apply conventional antifouling.

Hempel’s Infinity will be available in 2.4 liter size and is suitable for both DIY and Pro usage in the EU, with North America to follow.
