ACA Member Webinar: Post-Election Analysis – A New Political Landscape?
On November 3, voters will decide control of both chambers of Congress. Heading into Election Day, the Senate is a genuine toss-up: Republicans hold a 53–47 majority, and a handful of races in states like Maine, Ohio, Iowa, Texas and Alaska could decide which party holds the gavel in January. There is significant speculation that the House majority will change hands.
Join ACA for a timely look at what the results mean for the paint and coatings industry. The panel will cover:
- Who won, and what changed. The new balance of power in the House and Senate, including any races still too close to call.
- Committee shake-ups. Likely leadership and membership changes on the committees that matter most to our industry: Environment and Public Works; Appropriations; Banking, Housing and Urban Affairs; and Commerce, Science and Transportation as well Energy and Commerce, and Transportation and Infrastructure.
- The policy outlook for 2027. What a divided or unified government could mean for trade and tariffs, chemical regulation, and the regulatory agenda.
- The lame-duck session. What Congress may still take up before the new members are sworn in.
The webinar will be moderated by Heidi McAuliffe, ACA’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs, who will be joined by an expert panel from Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck, LLP – one of Washington’s leading government relations firms.
