The Canadian Coatings Association (CCA) has appointed Dave Carey as its president and CEO. He succeeds Gary LeRoux, who served as CCA’s president and CEO for over 14 years.
Carey’s extensive experience in federal government advocacy includes his most recent role as vice-president of Government & Industry relations at the Canadian Canola Growers Association.
IMCD announced Marcus Jordan as its new CEO. Jordan has been COO and a member of the company’s Management Board since 2022 and Executive Committee since 2014. Throughout his 26-year career with the company, he served as president of Americas, group development director, and in various strategic roles.
Hempel A/S announced the appointment of Anne-Christine Ahrenkiel as its new chief people & culture officer (CPCO) and executive vice president.
Ahrenkiel joins Hempel after serving as executive vice president and chief people officer (CPO) for the People Division at DFDS, northern Europe’s largest integrated shipping and logistics company. In addition, Ahrenkiel has held senior HR and leadership roles at global companies, including A.P. Moller-Maersk, Accenture and NNIT, as well as Egmont.
Micro Powders has announced the appointment of Bob Stearns as director of Strategic Accounts—CASE and Agroscience. Since joining the company in 2017, Stearns has served as domestic regional sales manager, with a strong focus on the CASE market. In his new role, he will lead the development of key strategic accounts and spearhead initiatives to strengthen the company’s presence in the global AgroScience market.
In other company news, Jonathan Escondo has been named sales manager, Industrial Division, for key regions of the United States. He will be responsible for developing customer relationships, expanding market opportunities, and supporting product innovations that align with the company’s core values
ICP Group has appointed Todd Brown as vice president of Operations for its Roofing & Driveway Sealers (RDW) business unit. He will oversee all RDW business unit plant operations and will report directly to ICP’s senior leadership team. Previously, Brown served for more than two decades at The Dow Chemical Company and most recently was vice president of Operations for Air Liquide Advanced Materials.
Huntsman Corporation has appointed Steen Weien Hansen as division president of the company’s Polyurethanes business unit. He succeeds Tony Hankins, who will retire at the end of the year.
Most recently, Hansen served as senior vice president, responsible for the global automotive, elastomers, and the Americas business units in the Polyurethanes division. He joined the company with its acquisition of the polyurethanes division of Imperial Chemical Industries in 1999.
