The Chemical Coaters Association International Finishing Education Foundation (CCAIFEF) is now accepting applications for the 2023 Matt Heuertz Scholarship Program. The application deadline is April 15.

The aim of this scholarship program, which honors the first executive director of the Chemical Coaters Association International (CCAI), is to attract new talent to the industrial finishing and surface coating technologies industry. Over the past several years, the program has awarded more than $100,000 to students who are currently enrolled in programs that could lead to a career in the finishing industry.

“By providing financial support, scholarship recipients are better able to continue their academic pursuits in areas that have a connection to finishing. And the 1-year student membership to CCAI, provided along with the financial award, presents an opportunity for further education about the finishing industry, networking, internships, and more,” said Sheila LaMothe, CCAIFEF Executive Director.

Qualified candidate applications will be reviewed by the CCAI Finishing Education Foundation Board of Directors. Award amounts vary, as determined by the board, and will be sent directly to the recipient’s academic institution.

The scholarship page on CCAI’s website includes the complete criteria for qualification, details on the selection process, and an application link. Students must complete a scholarship application, which includes a transcript or other grade verification, essay, reference letter, and resume.
