Teknos has announced its decision to cease operations and construction of a new factory in Fulda and instead relocate them to its existing Brüggen site.
The only jobs affected by these plans are approximately 20 jobs in the production, logistics, and R&D departments. Teknos has begun negotiations with the works council in Fulda.
This move is a result of a strategic review that Teknos recently completed of its production footprint in Germany. The goal was to develop plans to simplify its operations and identify opportunities to further develop the production and delivery capabilities of Teknos Deutschland GmbH.
As a result of this review, Teknos has decided not to proceed with a new factory in Steinau an der Straße and to cease operations in Fulda. After evaluating the existing locations, Teknos determined that the Brüggen site offers more expansion and development options. Therefore, Teknos plans to relocate production from Fulda to the existing Brüggen site and develop its operations in Brüggen.
