ACA Honored as One of the Top 10 “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For”
The National Association of Manufacturers’ (NAM) Council of Manufacturing Associations (CMA) honored the American Coatings Association (ACA) as one of 10 recipients of the inaugural “Best Manufacturing Associations to Work For” Awards. ACA President & CEO Andy Doyle (shown above left, with NAM President & CEO, Jay Timmons) accepted the award on Aug. 8 during CMA’s 2018 Summer Leadership Conference in Chicago, Ill.
CMA partnered with Best Companies Group (BCG), an independent research firm specializing in identifying great places to work, to conduct employee surveys. The project goal was to highlight manufacturing associations that go above and beyond for their employees.
“Being named one of the Top 10 best manufacturing associations to work for is a great honor for ACA,” said ACA president & CEO Andy Doyle. “The collaborative and advocacy-driven work we do is testament to the dynamic paint and coatings industry that we represent and on whose behalf we work.”
ACA was one of 10 associations recognized. The other nine, listed alphabetically, are:
- American Bakers Association
- Fabricators & Manufacturers Association, International
- Institute of Scrap Recycling Industries
- International Sign Association
- Irrigation Association
- PMMI — The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies
- The Aluminum Association, Inc.
- The Fertilizer Institute
- The Plastics Industry Association
The “Top 10″associations were each given a feedback report to help identify and analyze new opportunities to further enhance its workplace.
“Each and every day, these organizations are showing how careers supporting manufacturing can be fun, fulfilling and flexible — not just a good paycheck,” said CMA executive director Tonya Muse. “We’re proud to recognize every one of our CMA partners that is being honored this year and we look forward to recognizing even more outstanding partners in the years to come.”
NAM’s CMA is made up of more than 260 manufacturing trade associations that work together on behalf of manufacturing in the United States.
