ACTEGA, manufacturer of specialty coatings, inks, adhesives, sealants and compounds for the print and packaging industry, announced its plans to open a new 238,000-square-foot production facility in Kings Mountain, N.C., in Q2 2024.

The State of North Carolina is providing $94,000 to establish this production facility, with the expectation of creating additional jobs. This investment will contribute toward customized training programs at Cleveland Community College and Gardner Webb University.

The facility will house the production of metal decorating inks and indirect food contact printing inks and direct food contact barrier coatings. It will include the Experience Centre, designed for both flexographic printing presses and rod coaters. The company says that this facility will expand its Flexible Packaging, Metal Packaging and Paper and Board business lines’ production and operations.
