ACA’s Paint Councils are a network of grassroots organizations representing the association in its efforts to promote the interests of the paint and coatings industry at the state level. ACA’s Paint Councils provide a forum for companies doing business in those states to interact with each other and their elected officials.
Administration and coordination of the paint council network is overseen by the association’s Government Affairs Committee. Experience, to date, has shown that an organized, informed membership can make a significant difference in the outcome of public policy debates concerning paint industry issues.
Paint council membership and participation is available to ACA corporate members only, since it is membership dues that support the work of the paint councils. Actions taken by each paint council are determined by its membership at regularly scheduled meetings throughout the year. Each paint council has professional staff for lobbying and association management.
ACA's network of state and regional paint councils include the following:
- CaliforniaPaint Council
- Florida Paint Council
- Illinois Paint Council
- Kentucky Paint Council
- Massachusetts Paint Council
- Minnesota Paint Council
- New Jersey Paint Council
- Ohio Paint Council
- Pacific Northwest Paint Council (WA and OR)
- Texas Paint Council
