FSCT's VLC Offerings in November

The FSCT has expanded its educational training opportunities with innovative e-learning offerings:  Virtual Learning Conferences (VLC). These popular programs combine audio-conferencing and Internet technologies for delivery to your computer. Only one fee per location is charged, regardless of the number of participants.

In November FSCT will offer the following VLCs:

Nov. 6
Introduction to Nanotechnology and Nanostructured Coatings
Rigoberto Advincula, University of Houston
This VLC will give participants a broad view of nanotechnology, with a focus on this burgeoning field in our industry.

Nov. 18
Concrete Coatings
Michael Praw, Alberdingk-Boley, Inc.
This VLC focuses on the current available technologies for concrete coatings, as well as low-VOC technologies and options. With environmental regulations and advances in dispersion and emulsion technologies, chemists and formulators are confronted with several choices, which can cause confusion. The choice of a proper coating is determined by the substrate (concrete) condition, environmental issues, and the desired performance properties. The goal of the course will be to provide a clearer understanding of concrete coatings and address the factors that go into coatings selection.
