Brenntag Americas Receives Wacker "Distributor of the Year" Awards for 2009

Several Brenntag Americas companies received "Distributor of the Year" Awards from Wacker Chemie Wacker presents these awards annually and on a global basis with four performance achievement categories: Platinum, Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

The Brenntag Americas companies receiving awards are:

PLATINUM: Brenntag Specialties, Brenntag Great Lakes

GOLD: Brenntag Southeast

SILVER: Brenntag Canada, Brenntag Columbia, Brenntag Guatemala, Brenntag Mexico, Brenntag Mid-South, Brenntag Northeast

Consolidated results:

GOLD: Brenntag North America

SILVER: Brenntag Latin America

The performance criteria for the 2009 awards were based on a combination of sales performance metrics and effective interaction with Wacker's Business Teams.

Ted Davlantes, director of Distribution Management NAFTA and Middle America for Wacker Chemical Corporation said, "the Brenntag companies have shown continuous and substantial growth of our mutual business since the inception of our partnerships in the Americas."

The Wacker portfolio as distributed by Brenntag includes Silicones, Fumed Silica and Polymer Products, sold into industries such as construction, chemical process, coating, adhesive, sealant, elastomer, personal care and food.
