Coatings Care® Manufacturing Management Implementation Guide Volumes I and II Reviewed and Updated

Recently, a workgroup of NPCA’s Occupational Health and Safety Committee was assembled to review and update all of the chapters and attachments in Volumes I and II of the guide.  The changes went through an editing and review process, were approved by the Coatings Care® Committee, and then incorporated into the final guide.  The updated versions of Volumes I and II are available for download under the member publications page of NPCA's web site at http://www.paint.org.

The files for Volumes I and II are presented in two formats: the first set of files contains all of the chapters and attachments, and those that have been changed are identified in the footer with "Revision 1 — January 2008."  Those chapters and attachments that were not changed carry the original footer date of "March 2001." The second set of files contains only those chapters and attachments for the appropriate volume that have been changed so that members may print the changes only instead of the entire document.

The Coatings Care® Manufacturing Management Implementation Guide was originally published in March 2001 to assists companies in their efforts to conduct day-to-day operations in a manner consistent with established health, safety, and environmental practices.  Due to the amount of material covered in this code, the guide was divided into three volumes: Volume I - Occupational Safety and Health, Volume II - Operations (Process Safety), and Volume III - Environmental Management (Pollution Prevention/Waste Management).  These chapters include sample policies, procedures and checklists, as well as complete descriptions of the management practices.

A similar workgroup of NPCA's Environmental Management Committee is working on updates for Volume III - Environmental Management (Pollution Prevention/Waste Management).  A notice will be sent when these chapters are available for member use.
