SAVE THE DATE: 3rd Global Marine Coatings Forum, Nov. 2-4, 2010

Building on the extremely successful first and second Global Marine Coatings Forums, the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC) will present the 3rd Global Marine Coatings Forum in Singapore, Nov. 2-4, 2010.

The two-day event will kick-off with updates on critical regional environmental, health, and safety regulations. In a true forum format, presentations and panels will discuss a myriad of issues affecting the marine coatings industry, ranging from antifouling, performance standards for protective coatings, ballast tanks and void spaces, current IMO committee activities such as guidelines for preventing the spread of invasive species, reducing greenhouse gas emissions from ships, the Antifouling Systems Treaty, and International Convention for the Safe and Environmentally Sound Recycling of Ships.

In this time of economic uncertainty, the 3rd Global Marine Coatings Forum will be an excellent opportunity to share views on the future of the industry as it relates to the status of new ship builds, repairs, and impacts of ever increasing and stringent regulations.

IPPIC encourages all stakeholders in the shipping industry to attend, including coatings suppliers and formulators, classification societies, ship owners, ship yards, and regulatory bodies.

The cost of attending the 3rd Global Marine Coatings Forum is $600 (U.S.). Included in the price will be an evening social reception on Nov. 2, as well as admittance to the full two-day forum, lunches, and coffee breaks.

An official program is still under development, and online registration will be available once details are in place.
