Course Description
This course will give an overview of the various Industrial Surface Coating Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) and Hazardous Air Pollutant (HAP) regulations at the Federal, State and Local levels, including a discussion on the ongoing South Coast Air Quality Management District (SCAQMD) Rule 1107 (Coating of Metal Parts and Products) rulemaking; EPA Surface Coating MACT Residual Risk/Technology Review rulemakings; and the Bay Area Wood Products Rulemaking.

This course should provide industry representative information that may help them plan for future reformulations.

Course Instructor
As Senior Director of Environmental Affairs at the American Coatings Association – during his 12 years at ACA, David has worked on coatings manufacturing environmental compliance issues, VOC compliance regulations and post-consumer paint issues. David has a MS and BS in environmental engineering from Syracuse University and is a professional environmental engineer.
