This general overview will address the existing international and domestic regulations affecting the marine coatings industry and regulatory professionals. This update will include information on the International Maritime Organization (IMO) Activities.
John Hopewell received a B.S. in Earth Science from Montana State University and an M.A. with a focus in Environment and Development from the Universiteit van Amsterdam. He has been with ACA for five years and is staff to the Environmental Management Committee, Marine Coatings Committee, Antifouling Working Group and the International Paint and Printing Ink Council, which ACA is the Secretariat. Before coming to ACA John worked in the Research Applications Program at the National Center for Atmospheric Research in Boulder, CO.
Marie Hobson serves as Counsel in ACA's Government Affairs Division as well as Counsel to the International Paint and Printing Ink Council (IPPIC). Marie graduated from Villanova University with a degree in Political Science before earning a law degree with a focus on environmental law from the Widener University School of Law.
