Following the passage of chemical security legislation in 2006, the Department of Homeland Security
(DHS) has worked rapidly to implement the Chemical Facility Anti-Terrorism Standards (CFATS). DHS
is currently in the process of issuing final tiering letters to chemical facilities, including a
number of coatings manufacturers, advising them of their final tiering under CFATS and imposing
120-day deadlines to file Site Security Plans (SSPs) using the Risk Based Performance Standards.
Led by AcuTech Consulting Group, this special VLC will help companies better understand these
requirements and meet the rapidly approaching deadlines. It will be held 11:00 am to 12:30 pm on
March 15.
