Coatings Care® — Insurance Discount Program
NPCA Offers Members a New Opportunity to Lower Insurance Rates through Coatings Care®
NPCA is pleased to offer a new insurance program for companies participating in Coatings Care® that can provide an opportunity for significant savings. As a result of a favorable independent review of the Coatings Care® program guidance by specialists in loss control, and additional support from NPCA's Product Stewardship and Transportation & Distribution Committees, a new insurance program for Coatings Care® participants is now available. Beginning Nov. 1, 2004, NPCA members that have established an operational level conformance with Coatings Care® will be eligible for a discount of up to 5 percent on Commercial General Liability and Commercial Automobile coverage when placed through Coatings Industry Services, Inc., with an A.M. Best A+ XV rated carrier.
This program was made possible through the recognition by Coatings Industry Services that the adoption of an operational Coatings Care® program signifies a commitment to excellence, safety, best business practices and loss control.
In addition, Verlan Fire Insurance Company has agreed to create a program geared to smaller NPCA member companies that would provide lower minimum premiums on property and casualty accounts, fast turnaround time after submission, and a policy customized to the coatings industry.
