Issue Backgrounder

Read our latest Issue Backgrounder, “No Small Issue: EPA’s Proposed Nano Rule and the Paint & Coatings Industry,” which focuses on the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) proposed reporting and recordkeeping rule for nanomaterials, and the challenges it presents for industry.

ACA believes the proposed rule will create needless and sweeping reporting burdens, discouraging the paint and coatings industry from exploring the innovation opportunities of nano-sized inorganic particles — used to greatly improve the quality and effectiveness of innovative coatings technology —  and also hinder the ability to compete internationally.
